Frequently asked questions

What happens when I've finished distance theory?

We aim to mark any work within 2 working days but please allow us time to provide you with feedback. If anything is wrong we will request you re-do the incorrect bit at no extra charge.

If everything is ok you will be sent your certificate via email or if with a face to face course on the day.

What about Kits?

We have put together kits for most of our courses and recommend the best products that we use ourselves. Email us to purchase your kit before your course.

How much are kits? Kit costs vary from £25 to £150. Most kits will be listed in our forget me knot gift shop but we'll let you know the kit cost when you email.

Do we have to purchase your kit? No you are quite welcome to purchase your own.

What support do I get? All our courses come with full genuinely helpful support and you are able to contact your tutor via whatsapp, facebook or email at any time. All tutor contact details are at the back of your manual. You can also join our facebook private student support group.

What's a case study?

This is 3 completed treatments on your models. We may ask for before and after photos and consultation forms.

How do I complete distance learning? We send you the work bite size modules take your time to study each section, complete exercises all in your own time, then an assessment after each one is completed and returned to us via email. We then mark your assessment and send it back to you.

Does paying for my course guarantee a pass certificate on the day? No you do have to pass all your theory work, complete all practical assessments successfully and case studies if required which you will have full support with.

How do I get started when I've passed? All of our courses come with all the support you need to start your own business which includes: Insurance, Getting registered, Business marketing, Business Legal Requirements, Hygiene, Health, Safety & Security Coaching. Check with your insurance and any council you wish to register with before taking our courses to ensure they will except them as we are unable to provide a refund once taken.

Can I study from outside the UK and get insurance on the day I pass? Our courses are only available to UK students so if you're in the UK yes we'll even give you our code to get 10% discount with ABT!

Courses can be 121 or small group of two to 6 at present.

You must be 18 or over to complete any of our courses.

Prerequisites: All Certificates must be sent to our email prior to starting your course.

Note: We may not except inhouse level 3 A & P from others for our level 3 Courses.

Our Cancellation Policy

Cancellation – in the event of a cancellation, fees will only be refunded in full (minus any charges from third parties i.e banks, repayment plan schemes) where no modules have been activated and an email has been received to within 14 days to: thehealingcabinacademy@gmail.com

In the event of cancellation where modules have been sent out or activated, or within 14 days fees will not be refunded.

Transfers – Requests for transfers to alternative courses or dates can be arranged if the admin team are notified in writing by sending an email to James Academy Manager thehealingcabinacademy@gmail.com, these requests must be made before 14 days post purchase of the course, having had no modules sent or activated. One transfer will be accepted without charge, all subsequent transfers will attract an administration charge of £30 Lost certificates £20. All monies will be transferred to future dates in cases of forced closure. Please check with your insurance company prior to taking any course with us. Please see full academy policy page.
